Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, through its NOVA Information Management School (NOVA IMS), is a driving force within the RADAR-AIM consortium. Ranked among the global top schools in Data Science and Information Management, NOVA IMS is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in artificial intelligence and sustainability. With more than 50 researchers and over 1,000 publications since 2015, the school has built a reputation for excellence, with six of its faculty featured in Stanford University’s list of the world’s top 2% of scientists
In RADAR-AIM, NOVA leads Work Package 2 (Review and Assess), laying the foundation for the project by mapping existing AI and sustainability courses, identifying gaps, and shaping design recommendations for innovative micro-credential programs. The school also co-leads Work Package 4 (Adopt and Reflect) alongside Universität Bremen, where it plays a key role in piloting and evaluating the newly developed modules to ensure their relevance, accessibility, and long-term impact
Beyond these leadership roles, NOVA actively contributes across all stages of the project, from curriculum development to dissemination. Its strong expertise in areas such artificial intelligence, data science, and AI for sustainability, combined with advanced technological infrastructure, ensures that the project benefits from both academic excellence and practical application. Furthermore, NOVA IMS’s Master in Advanced Analytics program, aligned with the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, directly complements RADAR-AIM’s mission of training professionals for the future.
Through this collaboration, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa is helping shape a forward-looking, international learning ecosystem that connects AI and sustainability, equipping learners and institutions across Europe with future-proof skills.
